Happy Birthday Card With a Twist

This was another card in the June issue of Scrapbook News + Review. It was the featured technique (rather by accident – I just sent the card in on assignment not knowing she was looking for a technique to feature, lol!) and it’s a really easy one.

The flower embellishments were made by taking the double-sided paper used for the card and curling thin strips around a wire hanger then looped in layers onto Glue Dots. The eyelet is not “set”, but rather pressed into the top Glue Dot.

Patterned Paper – Her “Just a Girl” Chic Flower/Girly Green Paper from My Mind’s Eye Signature Life Collection
Flowers – Crimson Blossoms from Imaginisce
Blank Greeting Card – DMD
Rubons – American Traditional Designs
Decorative Eyelet – Scrapworks
Chipboard Numbers – Provo Craft
Other – Glue Dots
